NXT Heatwave 2025 recap

NXT's hottest event of the summer has come to an end some competitors have fizzled out and other have just struck their own match as we slowly head into NXT No Mercy in September. We opened up the show with the number 1 contender triple threat match featuring Lola Vice, Jaida Parker and Kelani Jordan. Although the early parts of the match seemed a bit slow compared to the rest this match was nothing short of thrilling, all three women fought tooth and nail to win the opportunity; in the end after taking quick advantage Lola Vice is your new #1 contender for the NXT Women's championship and will face Jacy Jayne at No Mercy. Next up in the battle of numbers and mind games DarkState's Dion Lennox and Osisis Griffin challenged Hank & Tank for the NXT Tag Team championship, unfortunately at the end of the day the numbers were too much for our beloved funny men as other DarkState members took out Tank leaving Hank to fight the group on his own ultimately crowning them the NEW NXT TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS. TNA Knockouts title is on the line as Jacy Jayne defends against Ash by Elegance and Masha Slamovich. After a bit of clunkiness and a ring ejection of the remaining members of Fatal Influence, this match became very hard hitting and super telling as you were able to see what this meant to each competitor, however making it out of the woods and seizing her moment CONGRATULATIONS to Ash by Elegance who gets her full circle moment as she is crowned the NEW TNA KNOCKOUTS CHAMPION! Former friends now bitter rivals Jordynne Grace and Blake Monroe clash in our next match as Blake took FULL advantage of Grace's thirst for payback after she costed her the chance to call herself NXT Women's champion, with that being said it's of no surprise that Blake Monroe was able to pick up the win. USA vs. Canada Chelsea Green and 'All Ego' take on Tavion Heights and Tyra Mae Steele in mixed tag team action but of course the numbers and the experience was on the side of Team Canada.
